User:I have got thyriod more than 1 year
User:I want to know if I have got hyperthyroid or hypothyriod
User:how can I know the difference betwwen these 2 types?
Doctor:Hyperthyroid is when t3/t4 are higher than normal
Doctor:Hypothyroid is when t3/t4 are lower than normal
Doctor:The symptoms vary accordingly
Doctor:Hyperthyroid symptoms are Sudden weight loss, even when your appetite and the amount and type of food you eat remain the same or even increase
Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) — commonly more than 100 beats a minute — irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) or pounding of your heart (palpitations)
Increased appetite
Nervousness, anxiety and irritability
User:ok,so I have got hyperthyroid
User:i ave got all the syptoms yo said above
User:fo both of them medication is the same

Doctor:We first need to do thyroid blood tests and ultrasnography of thyroid
User:I have got these tests done ,but I dont remember the results of it at the moment
User:but I am taking thyronorm 100 mg now

Doctor:But if you are having symptoms of hyperthyroidism, it means that your condition is improving and you need lesser dse of thyronorm
