User:but why i have fever every night
User:it goes to 101
Doctor:Its because of the infection
Doctor:Fever with night sweats is not the only symptoms characteristic of TB
Doctor:there has to be long standing cough, low grade fever, weight loss
Doctor:Its a long standing process
Doctor:It does not cause pain in the throat, high fever
User:My Blood and body report says ESR of 27

Doctor:What I would suggest is that you tell me the name of the antibiotic you have recieved
Doctor:Then we can change the antibiotic and give you a better one
Doctor:I am sure you'll be ok within 3-4 days
Doctor:till then, steam inhalation, warm saline gargles will help
Doctor:Can you just recall the name of the antibiotic
User:I am trying to read on presecription slip
User:it starts with Maha and last 2 words seems t be if only
Doctor:was it mahacef?
User:it is MAHACEF
Doctor:i cannot prescribe the antibiotic here
Doctor:But i would suggest that you speak with your physician about 2 drugs
Doctor:One is amoxicillin-clavulanate and the other is levofloxacin
Doctor:take both and you'll be ok in 3-4 days
Doctor:the fever will come down once the infection is taken care of
Doctor:Otherwise till then, you can take Tablet Crocin 1 tablet as and when required, upto a maximum of 4 tablets daily
User:ok sure
