Have swollen gums after root canal. What could it be? - Online Doctor Chats
How can I help you?
How are you
I am fine, thank you.
Proceed with your query.
I have a small question
regarding tooth issues
would you be able to assist me on this
I am a physician and I will be able to assist you within my expertise.
i didnt put a cap on both the tooth
it was done several years back
and then gradually my tooth started to break
so both my tooth got damaged from a very long time
but i was able to eat and everything, but a very occassional swelling or something
so from the last couple of days my gums are swelling and there is a pimple kinda thing, that comes out whenever i eat anything hard, like roti or chicken or something like that
the swelling thing lasts only for few hours
it would subside
it doesnt pain or anything
what do you think it is,
From what you describe, it is unlikely that root canal and tooth infection is reason for pain / swelling
These may be ulcer or inflammation of gums what you have.
but it happens only below either of the tooth
Perhaps there may be local factors such as gum issue that may be contributing.
I would suggest you to discuss with a dentist using Ask a doctor / Ask a specialist option available on your home page.
You can discuss with a dentist for a better opinion.
Have you followed?
Are you there?
sure thing doctor, i m anyways trying to go to a dentist today
but i m scared
you dont think its cancer or anything right
i m 26
I don't feel you are dealing with a cancer. I would either suggest you to visit the dentist as planned. Else post these details and discuss with a dentist online using Ask a Doctor / Ask a specialist.
You most likely have inflammation / ulcer issues which can be resolved.
Do you have any other query?

nothing else Doctor

can i end the chat
Thanks for consulting me.
Bye for now.
