User:around 1 week
Doctor:does it hurt, when u touch it ?
Doctor:are u sexually active ? do u think the symptoms started after masturbation or sexual intercourse ?
User:i use to masturbate
User:but i havent had any sexual intercourse
User:for quite sometime
User:check out that picture
User:its right below the penis gland
User:and above the shaft of the penis
Doctor:i understood that
User:so its actually between the shaft and the gland
User:i thought i was herpes or something
User:but its js redness n itchiness
Doctor:do u have any vesicles or pustules there ? or just redness and itchy skin ?
User:js redness n itchy skin
User:a week
User:i really have no idea how did it came
Doctor:before it started, did you have any sensitivity or pain in the exact area ?
User:actually way before
User:but i dont think its related
User:because the sensitivity was due to harsh intercourse
User:but then it went off after a month
User:then after another month
User:wait actually more than a month
Doctor:did you have such pain , say about 2-3 days before the onset of the redness ?
User:no ntg
User:at first
User:it was js one side
User:let say
User:i am looking from the top
Doctor:ok, in that case, it is not related to herpes
User:it was on the left side
User:the redness was on the left side
User:and then after around 4-5 days
User:it the whole thing
Doctor:it is probably due to masturbation or related skin injury
Doctor:try not to scratch the penis
User:but i still masturbate when its itch
User:so what should i do?
Doctor:do not masturbate for a week from now
Doctor:you can apply K Y jelly to the area
User:so ntg major right?
Doctor:and you should let it heal
User:should i wash with anything
User:can soap be the issue?
Doctor:taking Over the counter medications like tylenol or Advil , might help reduce the pain and inflammation
Doctor:no, soaps, would not be the issue
User:so what you think its the cause of it?
Doctor:taking any over the counter, anti histamines like Diphenhydramine or benadryl might also help, to reduce the itching
Doctor:the cause is skin injury related to masturbation
User:owh okay
User:thanks doctor
User:js a last question
Doctor:apply Ice packs, to relieve the itching sensation for now
Doctor:ok, sure
User:does herpes
User:have the redness symptom for long before it appear
Doctor:usually in herpes, the area begins to become more sensitive and painful
User:i was once diagnose with very low herpes, 1.15 they call it false positive
Doctor:after 3-4 days, bubbles or vesicles with clear fluid appear
User:oh okay but herpes are not XXXXXXX right?
Doctor:and after a few days, they break up, and result in raw skin which is highly painful
Doctor:no, it is not XXXXXXX , but once it is seen, it can become recurrent and persist life long
Doctor:but since you had a false positive test, its nothing to worry
User:but i have not taken the test again for that matter
Doctor:your current symptoms do not appear to be due to herpes
User:okay doctor
User:so does herpes carry the same symptom?
Doctor:probably, you have scratched your skin too much, which might have increased the redness
User: XXXXXXX 3-4 days it will appear correct?
Doctor:i have already described the skin lesions and presentation of herpes , just a few quotes above
Doctor:yes, the bubbles and vesicles will appear 3-4 days after the onset of the pain
User:okay doctor
User:thanks :)
Doctor:U r welcome
User:bye for now
Doctor:take care and have a good day
Doctor:bye for now
