Doctor:How can I help you?
Doctor:Welcome again.
Doctor:Good morning.
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:My daughter is at the age of 10 now and she has a problem, which i need some clarification.
Doctor:Please explain the problem.
User:she is into puberty now and her nipples is surrounded with some kind of goosebums like pimples (or something), may i know what it should be.
User:i was worried if something abnormal.
Doctor:Since when have you noticed these bumps?
User:only before 2 days.
Doctor:Does she complain of any pain, itching or burning sensation?
User:she said she has pain.
Doctor:Is there any redness?
User:no i could not see any, but some kind of lump was there, when i examined. and the goose bums looked abnormal in the aroela region.
Doctor:Is it located on both sides?
User:more at right side.
Doctor:* I mean is it seen on both sides?
User:right side i saw looked abnormal, left nothing.
Doctor:Are those bumps localized only around the areola or do you any where else on the body?
User:i checked and could not find anywhere else, it looked like small bums with pus kinda.
Doctor:I shall brief you now.
Doctor:There are numerous sebum secreting glands in the areola which are called as glands
Doctor:They secrete a whitish sebum like secretions.
Doctor:Sometimes they can get swollen due to effects of hormones giving rise to small papule (goose bump) like lesions.
Doctor:Rarely, there is a possibility that these glands are blocked due to dirt and other skin particles
Doctor:leading to painful swollen glands.
Doctor:Obstructed glands can get infected leading to severe pain, redness, fever and some other skin changes.
Doctor:Without physical examination, I am unable to predict the true nature of these lesions now,
Doctor:so I suggest you this.
Doctor:1. Try warm compresses - placing a hot water bag on the affected region.
Doctor:2. Avoid handling the area with bare fingers
Doctor:3. Make sure your daughter doesn't scratch the region.
User:oh ok.
Doctor:4. Do not try to pick/prick or incise the lesion.
Doctor:5. Watch out for worsening of pain, occurrence of redness,
Doctor:secretions or
User:is there a possibility of this subsiding.
Doctor:increase in the size of the bump.
User:or do u want me to take her to the doctor.
Doctor:If those symptoms appear, then she needs to see a doctor.
Doctor:I expect the bumps to heal with warm compresses and proper antiseptic care,
User:is this something to give immediate attention, as i have left her for annual vacation.
Doctor:If they don't you need to see your doctor.
Doctor:If she is not in severe pain,
Doctor:or the bump is not large
Doctor:and do not have any redness/burning /itching
Doctor:I do not think this is a serious concern and need medical attention immediately,
Doctor:however you need to watch over it carefully
User:oh ok
User:thank you so much i was worried a lot.
Doctor:If any of such changes occur, then medical attention is needed.
User:i will talk to her immediately
Doctor:You are welcome.
Doctor:Is there any other query?
User:plannign to go for a H1N1, can u plz suggest which one is good. oral or injection.
Doctor:H1N1 vaccines have been new to medical science.
Doctor:Some studies reveal oral vaccines are a bit more effective than injectables
User:oh ok
Doctor:However clinically we find little difference amongst the two,
Doctor:as there are various brands of oral as well as injectable vaccines available.
Doctor:So depending on the brand used, your physician may be able to tell you which one would be better.
Doctor:I apologize for now giving more information regarding the vaccines,
Doctor:It would be better to take the suggestions of your clinician in this regards.
Doctor:Is there any other query?
User:no nothing
User:thanks a lot for your time.
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
