Have lyme disease, pain in head and legs. How to get rid of this? - Online Doctor Chats
How may I help you?
lets review the history
when did the discomfort start?
where is the pain located?
i have a red ring around my mozzie bites
Can you explain what mozzie bites are?
i have pain in the head and neck and in the legs also
and the red ring
where is it located again?
little flys tat bite u and make u itchy
This does not sound like typical lymes
Lymes presents with one large lesion
looking like a bulls eye
it is caused by a bite of a deer tick
Have you been exposed to deer or deer ticks recently?
in the woods?
hiking or hunting?
i have a large round red XXXXXXX around the bite
how large would you say?
i ad a tick on my neck about 1 month ago
how big is diameter
would you say a few inches?
At this point there are 2 options
the second option is to treat you with antibiotics for 2 or 3 weeks assuming you could have possibly been exposed
Have there been cases of Lymes near you?
i have a mozeie bites
i have bad head pain
and pain in legs
where in the legs?
where in the legs
top and bottom of legs
Well it is very unlikely to be Lymes but in order to be 100 percent sure it would require a blood test
are you able to see a doctor for a blood test?
or a prescription for antibiotic?
this is only something a doctor can provide
I do not think you are in danger at all right now
but to be complete a visit to your doctor would be in order.
Are you seeking a secon opinion or did you wish to continue?
so is it lymes diease
There is no way for me to tell you if this is lymes without a test
I thnk it is NOT lymes
but you need a blood test to be absolutely sure
that is usually later in the course of the illness
how long after
Would you like to arrange for a specialty consultation with one of our infectious disease experts?
Joint issues occur months after typically.
i have got alot of mozzie bites in the last 5 months
Mosquitoes do not ransmit lymes
lymes is from Tic bites only
no they say its from mozzies too
I have never seen a case of this
where did you find this published information?
That would be exceedingly rare
dont you think the easiest way to set your mind at ease would be to have a blood test?
It is simple and easy
I think you should consider that
Again let me reassure you that it is exceedingly unlikely that you have Lymes
i hope this provides you with some comfort
