User:Hi, I had a missed abortion in the month of XXXXXXX 2012 and had to undergo D &C. The reason was X chromosome missing. Since may 2012 we having been trying for a baby but no success as yet. Please guide
User:Hi doctor
Doctor:May I know whether or not if genetic studies of you and your husband are done?
User:and in the tissue Karoytype - X chromosome was missing
Doctor:I understand that, but i would want to know if genetic counseling of parents were done or not?
Doctor:X chromosome missing from what I understand was of the aborted fetus.
Doctor:Correct me if I am wrong.
Doctor:Are you there?
User:it was of aborted fetus
User:no counselling was done of the parents
Doctor:May I know your age?
Doctor:Was that your first pregnancy?
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:Late pregnancy is one cause of genetic abnormalities occurring in the fetus.
User:what could be done
Doctor:However without a detailed evaluation of both partners it would be difficult to predict what the cause for reduced fertility is.
User:we are trying from past 4 four months now
Doctor:May I know since when you been married?
User: XXXXXXX 2011
User:and we started planning in Dec 2011
Doctor:Let you brief you.
Doctor:Infertility issues are suspected when pregnancy doesn't result after more than a year of trying.
Doctor:So clinically I do not suspect any issues.
Doctor:However to make things better,
Doctor:we would need to get follicular scans done.
Doctor:This is nothing but a sequence of ultrasound scans done during the process of menstrual period.
Doctor:I am presuming your period are regular and normal.
User:I did follicualr study in XXXXXXX and my ovulation occurs on day 14
Doctor:If the follicular scan revealed good sized follicles and ovulation, then timing the sexual intercourse during that period would be fruitful.
Doctor:You may also take folic acid supplements (tab.folvite 5mg) once a day to prevent fetal defects during the subsequent pregnancy.
User:ok, am doing all of these
User:will continue
Doctor:I hope it is clear now.
Doctor:Thanks for consulting.
Doctor:Bye for now.
