Doctor:first and foremost can u tell me what the skin doc, has advised you
User:HE HAS GIVEN ME LOTION & MEDICINES. THIS IS A MATTER OF 3 YEARS BACK.
Doctor:the black patches are inside the mouth or on the face ?
User:FACE . I THINK IT IS PIGMENTATION . AFTER DELIVERY OF MY YOUNGER SON IT COMES.
Doctor:how large is the patch ? on the skin
Doctor:the scarring can be due to melasma which is a skin pigmentation , and is difficult to remove
User:NOT LARGE IT IS OF MEDIMUM SIZE. SOMETHIMES IT IS VERY DARK
User:SIR WHAT IS TERM MELASMA. PL EXPLAIN
Doctor:it is a skin pigmentation, due to increased hormones during pregnancy
User:OK
Doctor:and it is common in many women, and it also has a genetic background
User:NO SIR MY MOM DID NOT HAVE THIS PROB.
User:CAN THIS BE CURE.
Doctor:the other causes of hyperpigmentation, can be due to acne scars too
Doctor:melasma is not a disease
User:OK
Doctor:it is increased pigmentation, due to melanin production , which is induced by hormones
User:NOW WHAT U SUGGEST ME.
Doctor:hence the only treatment , which can be given is creams , etc which help to reduce the melanocyte production , which in many cases , do not help much
Doctor:there are other alternatives like Dermaabrasion or laser therapy
Doctor:which can give much better results
User:OK SIR. THANKS
Doctor:Most doctors , and dermatologists, will prescribe you low dose steroid creams, to reduce the melanocyte production
Doctor:but, their efficasy varies, and many women, have different results, based on the genetic make up
Doctor:since it as been long time since you saw your doctor, i would advise you to see him again
User:OK THANKS DOCTOR.
Doctor:and he would help you after examinaing you
User:FINE
User:I HAVE ONE MORE QUEARY.CAN I ASK U

User:I HAVE GOLA IN MY HEAD. IT IS MORE THAN 10 YRS & SOMETIMES IT INCREASES A LITTLE.
User:WGHAT IS THAT
Doctor:may i know where exactly u have it ?
User:FROM WHERE THE HEAD STARTS OR CAN SAY ON THE TOP OF THE EAR SIDE
Doctor:it could be a sebaceous cyst also called a dermoid cyst
Doctor:this is a slow growing cyst, which comes out , from sebaceous glands of the hair follicles
Doctor:usually, it is safe, and does not cause any issues
User:SIR, CAN THIS LED TO ANY TYPE OF CANCER IF DOES NOT CURE.
Doctor:NO , it does not
Doctor:but if it gets infected it can cause a ulcer, and pain, and discharge
User:SO WHAT U SUGGEST ME. SHOULD I OPERATE IT OR NOT
Doctor:you should consult a dermatologist, who can examine that and remove it
User:OK THANKS FOR UR VALUABLE SUGGESTION
Doctor:this is a small surgical procedure, and does not take much time, and can be done , in a walk in day procedure ,
Doctor:You are welcome
