User :   Hi
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
how can i help you?
Doctor :
please proceed with your medical query
User :   I have a health concern
User :   I am loosing my hair
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
since when is this problem happening?
User :   Its been years now..they fall on and off and the regrowth is not in proportion of falling
Doctor :
how many strands of hair do you loose per day approximately?
User :   it is not excessive..and depends..sometime more than 50
Doctor :   please provide your age, gender, location, occupation, height and current weight.
User :   now a days i could see 5-10 hair strand on my pillow only
Doctor :   loosing upto 50-100 strands per day is considered to be normal, this loss is replaced with the normal regrowth
User :   I am 27, female
User :   5.5" and weighs 60Kg
Doctor :
what is the pattern of hairloss? do you feel that the hairline has receded ?
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
your weight seems to be fine with the height
User :   i knw..i have consulted few doctors b4 and they mention that..but either my normal hair regroeth is not proper..or i m unable to count the actual hair fall strand
User :   yeah..i loose and gain weight pretty fast..
Doctor :
are you having any chronic illness like diabetes, anemia, thyroid problem?
User :   as per the consultation with my previos doctore..it is angrogenic alopecia
User :   no i dont..i have got all the tests done everytimr i approach a doctor for this problem..but each time it was normal
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
what all tests have you already done?
Doctor :
could you tell me the recent reports?
User :   hormones..thyriod..haemoglobin and ultasound
Doctor :
the 'androgenic alopecia' is also known as male pattern baldness
User :   i dont have the reports with me right now. but they were within the normal limits..
Doctor :
and is usually caused due to genetic factors involved
Doctor :
sometimes it is seen to run in families
User :   i know.but i think the same term is used for female pattern baldness
Doctor :
yes it is used
User :   and i am afraid that i am suffering from the same and i am worried about that
Doctor :
but in females the hairloss pattern variesa bit
Doctor :
causing generalized hairloss leading to thinning of hair
Doctor :   all over the head
User :   yes..it is diffusion that occured from the center..and starts with thining og center line
User :   yes..that is what happening..
Doctor :
in this the main cause is due to the hair follicles being sensitive to
Doctor :
DHT (dihydrotestosterone)
Doctor :
so a measurement of DHEA or DHT in the blood will point out the cause
User :   ok..can it be curred or stopped ?
Doctor :   you will need to do few other tests
Doctor :
like 5-alpha reductase levels, Insulin growth factor-! analysis
Doctor :
and DHT levels
User :   ok
Doctor :
these will help to know if it is due to testosterone related problem
Doctor :
and thereby start the treatment for it
Doctor :
but if a genetic cause is revealed then this cannot be cured completely
Doctor :
but controled with a well balanced diet and hair growth promoting treatments
Doctor :   for this you should take a consulation with a trichologist
Doctor :
and get a tricholanalysis along with the above mentioned tests done
User :   As i mentioned..I have got the treatment thrice before
Doctor :
once you get the tests done
Doctor :
you can mail us teh reports at YYYY@YYYY
Doctor :
and also get a second opinion done from our panel specialists
Doctor :   have you followed what i have said?

User :   yes. i did
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
User :   yes
User :   actually, when i get the treatment (which is usually minoxidil application on scalp and some biotin tablets intakes) my hair gets better
Doctor :
ok
User :   but after stopping the treatment leads to excessive hair fall
Doctor :
what i recommend is that you do these tests done
User :   and after few months the condition worsens
Doctor :
such that we come to the root cause for this to happen
Doctor :
and treat that
Doctor :
rather than doing only ymptomatic treatment
User :   ok
Doctor :
which works only for few days with the effects not being long lasting
Doctor :   so once we figure our=t what is exactly the cause in your case
Doctor :
we can treat it on a long term basis
Doctor :
*out
Doctor :
have you followed what i have said?
User :   yes
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?

User :   Is there any clinic where i can visit the doctor or this treatment will be done onlie only?
Doctor :
you can visit a doctor in your locality
Doctor :
who is a trichologist
Doctor :
or get the above mentioned tests prescribed by your treating doctor
Doctor :
and get back to us with the reports
Doctor :
and take online e-mail/phone consultation from our panel specialists
User :   can you suggest any good trichologist here in NCR?
Doctor :
