Doctor:this is Dr XXXXXXX
Doctor:how are you?
User:I am good-recently under went a surgery for fissures
User:and i have to take sitz baths everyday and getthe dressing
User:i just got my periods today and am worried whether sitz baths in betadine solution would be okay?
Doctor:there is no reason why it wouldnt be
Doctor:You'll have to be extra carful about hygeine
Doctor:But thats it
User:but betadine solution- is it good if you are menstruating
Doctor:Betadine is an antiseptic XXXXXX
User:and should i continue with the dressing
User:its kind of uncomfortable in this period
Doctor:I understand
Doctor:But the dressing needs to continue
Doctor:You can try and make it less obstrusive
Doctor:Basically the dressing is only for the wound as such
Doctor:Also, you could consider using a tampon
Doctor:That will be less uncomfortable
User:i am not comfortable in tampons
Doctor:then even a normal sanitary napkin will also do
Doctor:As I said
User:so i think i'll continue with sanitary napkins and the dressing as it is
Doctor:The chances of this getting infected are greater now
Doctor:so be meticulous about the hygeine
Doctor:also, what are you using for the dressing?
Doctor:Gauze or micropore or something else?
User:i wipe the area with betadine soln and put a gauze
Doctor:Go the pharmacy today and ask for micropore
Doctor:its water proof
Doctor:so it'll be useful
