User :   hello doc i want to ask you
Doctor :   Hi
User :   3 days ago my friend have sex with prostitute
Doctor :   ok
User :   he told me that he have a sore or cut in his penis
Doctor :   ok
User :   and the prostitute blowjob him without condom
User :   and this matter concern him
User :   if the prostitute
User :   have hiv
User :   will this hiv transmitted to him through the blowjob
User :   we have search together in internet that hiv cannot be transmitted through saliva
User :   but what about if the penis have small sore or cut?
User :   it is possible?
Doctor :   Yes, it can spread since HIV can be got from body fluids like saliva, semen.
User :   really?
User :   but many issue said that hiv cannot be transmitted through saliva?
User :   what is true
Doctor :   Although a small percentage can cause it, since it is also a body fluid.
User :   then?
User :   you think it is still possible?
Doctor :   A small percentage can spread since it ia also body fluid.
User :   how 's the percentage
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Blood, vaginal fluid, semen, breast milk and sometimes sweat too.
Doctor :   hi
User :   when you receive oral sex you are mainly exposing yourself to saliva, which has negligible concentrations of HIV.
User :   so how's the percentage
Doctor :   But it still has, we cannot deny it, may be 5 percent.
User :   if there is cut on the penis
User :   does it make any different?
User :   it will be higher rate?or same?
User :   because some say that it can enters through the tip of penis?
User :   or it can only enter through the cut on the penis?
Doctor :   If there is a cut, the percentage can be higher, but definitely he has risk.
Doctor :   He should get tested.
User :   really?
Doctor :   How many days back has this happened.
User :   4
Doctor :   ok.Tell him to get tested.
User :   to get tested?
User :   it must be 3 weeks later?
User :   or can be tested soon?
Doctor :   Yes the earliest test is at 3 weeks.
User :   sorry but i want to ask you
Doctor :   yes.
User :   what your reason to said this could still have percentage of hiv
User :   meanwhile there is another experts
User :   that say hiv cannot be transmitted through saliva
User :   when you receive oral sex you are mainly exposing yourself to saliva, which has negligible concentrations of HIV.
Doctor :   No i am pretty sure, if you do check any health website they do say oral sex has the possibility for transmission. There is no need for tension, you can do the tests can clarify.
User :   The minimal risk of transmission from oral sex with a man is only for the person performing the oral sex. Open cuts and abrasions in the mouth or bleeding gums can create an entry point for HIV and increase the risk of transmission. A person receiving oral sex is generally not at risk because that person is coming into contact only with saliva, which does not transmit HIV. The presence of other sexually transmitted diseases can increase the risk of HIV transmission during oral sex.
User :   ok doc
Doctor :   Suppose the lady had a cut, what will you say to that.
Doctor :   Or bleeding gums.
User :   in the case she is not
Doctor :   ok, but then we can tell the transmission is minimal.
Doctor :   But again as i said do the test just to be on the safer side.
User :   yes however
Doctor :   otherwise you will be tensed that you have not done the test.
User :   i am going abroad
Doctor :   ok.
User :   2 weeks more
Doctor :   ok
User :   so maybe i could not get tested
Doctor :   ok
User :   how is that
Doctor :   You can do it in the 3 rd week wherever you are.
User :   well its hard to find some good hospital there
Doctor :   These testing labs are present everywhere.
Doctor :   which country?
User :   ok maybe i will ask my friend to do some test
User :   thank you doc
Doctor :   You are welcome. kindly login for further medical queries.
