User:she has developed some pain in the abdomen again last week
User:so i got her to the same doc who had perated on her
User:we had a scan done again and the result for the same is as under
User:Realtime ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis
User:left ovary measures 4.5 cms*3.0 cms
User:Two simple cysts / dominant follocles are seen in left ovary measuring 2.3*2.0 cms and 2.0*1.5 cms
User:is this a concern and what do you suggest
Doctor:This seems not like a serious concern
Doctor:Wait and watch would be ideal
Doctor:She can go on hormonal pills for sometime
Doctor:Seems like there is hyperoestrogenic state
User:what is that
Doctor:Is her menstrual cycles regular?
User:yes she has it on the 8th of this month
Doctor:There is too much of oestrogen stimulating the ovaries. That is why there are 2 cysts/dominant follicles
Doctor:If her cycles are regular, there is no need for the hormonal pills
Doctor:The size of the cysts are not concerning
Doctor:they can be left alone
User:we also had the transvaginal scan done the results are the same

User:the only fear is what has already happened in the past
User:where there was a rupture
User:and an emergency

Doctor:I understand
Doctor:as long as the pain is bearable it is fine
Doctor:she cannot go in for a radical procedure now as she is only 37
User:what does radical procedure mean
Doctor:It means removal of the uterus and the ovaries and tubes
Doctor:She is not the candidate for it
User:ok, do you suggest going in for homeo treatment for this
Doctor:I do not think there is solution in homeopathy for this
Doctor:I am sorry;I am not aware
User:ok, my job demands me to be out of town on weekdays and im home only on sat and sun
User:is there a risk involved in my not being present
User:im asking you this question
User:beacuse i had to rush her on an emergeny at 2am in the morning
User:on that day
Doctor:I understand your situation. Is no one else with her at home?
User:2 kids who cannot manage the situation
User:13 years and 8 years
Doctor:Risk is present in all areas of life

Doctor:There is risk in your case
Doctor:But, you can move on
Doctor:Instruct your wife to let you know before hand when her pain intensifies
Doctor:Let me tell you this
Doctor:As of now, she is not in danger
Doctor:Ask her to reduce weight
Doctor:say 6 to 7 kgs
Doctor:This will decrease the oestrogen levels
Doctor:and the cysts will regress
Doctor:Hope you are following me
User:pl go on
Doctor:she needs to take care of herself
Doctor:be a little watchful of her symptoms
Doctor:repeat the scan after 3 months
Doctor:I am sure she will soon get rid of the existing cysts and new ones from occuring
Doctor:let she go in for a regular follow up with her gynecologist
Doctor:You both need to relax, get over the past incidence and move ahead more confidently
Doctor:Past hassles should not come in the way of a beautiful future
Doctor:This is all I have to say for now
Doctor:Please ask me if you have more queries
