User:my dad had heart attack long back. he has gone through angioplasty.
User:how often does he needs to do regular checkups?
User:and what are the symptoms of heart attack to get to know
Doctor:It is recommended that we check his health status at least once a year.
Doctor:However if there are significant risk factors follow up needs to be done more frequently.

Doctor:I would say, every once in 3-6 months is advisable.
User:what are the symptoms of heart attack to get to know, do i have the chance of getting it with getting old

Doctor:The most common symptom of heart attack is chest pain. An excruciating chest pain.
Doctor:It is accompanied with other symptoms such as breathlessness, sweating, anxiety.
Doctor:That being said, if the patient is diabetic, there may not be any symptoms at all.

Doctor:Family history is a risk factor for heart attack.

Doctor:Besides this, there are other risk factors such as smoking, diabetes, high blood sugar, high cholesterol level.
