User :   can hiv be transferred through fingering a female?
User :   hello
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
User :   Hi Dr
User :   can u please answer me on this question
Doctor :   HIV is transmitted .. by contact of blood or any body fluid
User :   what about fingering?
Doctor :   if you dont have any injuries , on your finger, then the chances are less,

Doctor :   since HIV cannot penetrate a intact skin
User :   i am wondering about the possibilities
Doctor :   but in any case , you should maintain hygiene and be careful,
User :   i bite my nails, but when that happened - it probably happend for 10 seconds and not more
Doctor :   ok
User :   and i do not think that i have any cut
User :   but not sure
Doctor :   any contact, with HIV infected body fluid, in any part of the body of a infected person, and entry into blood can cause HIV
Doctor :   the infectivity also depends on the amount of viral load of the person, at the time of infection

Doctor :   if the load is less, the chances are less
Doctor :   if its more, the chances are more
User :   can we categorize the time span of the 10 sec?
Doctor :   not as such

Doctor :   but i guess the chances of infection, in such cases, is minimal, as the contact with blood is very hard in your case
Doctor :   are u following me ?

User :   what about other std's?
User :   yes i am.. and i did a test after one week of the incident
User :   and now i am considering another test. this happened exactly 6 weeks ago
Doctor :   Viruses, like HPV, hepatitis, etc can be spread with blood contact , but less with fingering
User :   should i go for the test? i have asked a number of docs and they say it is not necessary
Doctor :   so what were the outcome of the earlier test?
User :   negative
Doctor :   for the case of fingering, the chances is less, and since the earlier test was negative, i think you dont need more tests
User :   the earlier test was only a week after the incident
User :   should i relax?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   you can relax
User :   thank you
Doctor :   you are welcome
User :   anything else that i should be worried about?
Doctor :   please make sure, to not repeat any such activities and end up repenting later
User :   lesson learned the hard way
User :   thank you
Doctor :   use protection and hygiene
Doctor :   welcome and thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   bye for now
User :   bye
