User :   I have a small blunted papilla (black triangle) in between my two front teeth that randomly appeared within the last few days, it's freaking me out. This is after a month or so of randomly bleeding gums. I have very good oral hygiene. What do I do??
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
is it painful?
Doctor :
is the bleeding still there?
User :   Not at all, just awkward. Like having a gap there that wasn't before. The bleeding only occurs when I brush vigorously (which I've stopped and the bleeding has stopped)
Doctor :
ok
User :   it looks like this WWW.WWWW.WW Doctor :
just give me a moment while i check this
User :   However, it's occurred in the last few days, which strikes me as odd
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
give me a sec
User :   Okay
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
The photograph that you have sent
Doctor :
refers to lack of soft tissue between your teeth, which is commonly called gums
Doctor :
There is absolutely nothing to worry about
Doctor :
if there is no pain
Doctor :
and excessive bleeding
Doctor :
I believe that you are very worried
Doctor :
and also do a bit of vigorous brushing
Doctor :
thinking that it will help keep your teeth squeky clean
Doctor :
which might not be in your best interest
Doctor :
Please exchange your old brush for a new softer one
User :   I guess the question is, will the papilla, that pocket of gum in between the two teeth, will that grow back and fill in?
Doctor :
Use proper brushin technique also for proper duration
Doctor :
It is possible that it is a temporary phenomenon
Doctor :
Can I know your age
Doctor :
and sex?
User :   21
User :   male
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
I think that for your age
Doctor :
it is very much possible that it will grow back
Doctor :
So
Doctor :
not to worry
Doctor :
Please do not be over-zealous about cleanliness and do not do vigorous brushing
Doctor :
it will subside and be allright
Doctor :
Not to worry
User :   I will try. Should I switch to a more sensitive toothpaste as well?
Doctor :
I am sure that at your age you have a lot of toher things to keep yourself busy
Doctor :
:D
Doctor :
Stay healthy
Doctor :
No, that is not necessary
Doctor :
you can continue to use the same toothpaste
Doctor :
have you followed what i have said?
User :   Yes I have, thank you :)
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
User :   Nope, that's the only thing on my hypochondria list today haha
