User :   I am sking in vail and have green bowl movements. Isbthis abconcern

User :   Not unusually
Doctor :   Ok , do you see mucous or blood in the stool ?
User :   No. Just green color
Doctor :   ok, Since when do you have the symptom ?
User :   Could it be the altitude
User :   24 hours or so
Doctor :   No , altitude do not any such effect.
Doctor :   Wait for another 24 hours , as some times it could be due to some foods
User :   I didnt eat anything unusual
Doctor :   commonly such greenish stools are very typical presentation in infections
Doctor :   specially bacterial infections
User :   I feel fine otherwise
Doctor :   if it do not subside within 24 hours , you may be needing a stool test to rule out the same
Doctor :   Some intestinal infection may go without any systemic symptoms for first few days
Doctor :   hence such causes cannot be ignored
User :   Should i be concerned?
Doctor :   No , there are many other causes for the same
Doctor :   the one which has to be ruled first would be a bacterial infection like Salmonella
User :   I would be sick by now?
Doctor :   no , it may take some more time after the stool discoloration for the systemic symptoms to occur
Doctor :   other causes like laxatives , antibiotics , some medications , malabsorption , food poisoning could be considered once the infection is ruled out
User :   Anything i could take?
Doctor :   yes, take good amount of fluids , specially juices like ones of lemon , orange or any other citrus fruits
Doctor :   and do not add sugar in the same
Doctor :   Avoid milk products
User :   Ok
Doctor :   And spicy foods
User :   Meat?
Doctor :   I would consider not safe in taking meat and any kind of hard foods until the symptom subsides completely
