User :   Hi I missed my periods in March. Last period was on 24 Feb. around 19 March i had burning sensation while urinating ..it continued for 4 days ..after that there was no burning or itching sensation. But now i am having white discharge after urinating or in between also. I am feeling that i have gained weight also. Are these symptoms of Thyroid?

User :   i noticed this month only and weight gained would be approx 1-2 kg..

User :   for last 3-4 months they were regular ..before that they were irregular ... sometimes 1 week early sometimes 1 week late

Your present symptoms (buring sensation while passing urine and white discharge) is more in favour of genitourinary infection rather than hypothyroidis,

In presence of an infection, menstrual irregularities may also be seen.

1. Avoid sexual intercourse till your symptoms improve.

3. Drink plenty of water and a healthy nutrition is needed.

4. Get a urine routine test with a swab test on the discharge.

5. If the reports are significantly abnormal then you may need antibiotic therapy.

6. Since weight gain is not a feature of genitourinary infection, if you continue to gain weight, I would suggest you to get the thyroid profile.
