User :   hi..

I am 25 yrs old male. Before I describe about my problem, i would like to give a background about it. Couple of months back (during complete May month 2010) i had quite irregularity with my food and sleep. I was having mostly oilly, spicy and outside junk food. I was not taking my food on time, mostly skipping my breakfast or having it late, leading to acidity. On the last date of the month (30th May) I went out with my friends for lunch and dinner and had some really spicy and oilly indian food in a restaurant.

Next day since 1st June 2010, i began to have loose motion, heavy acidity, burning sensation in my food pipe, mucus in stool, could feel body heat, bloating/bubbling sensation in my stomach/intestine, uneasiness in body. I just monitored it for couple of days and after that i met the general physician. He prescribed me the following medicines for 3-4 days in the 1st week of June 2010.

1. Buscopan
2. Debridat
3. Protexin Restore
4. Omeprazole 20mg
5. SYR Eviline Forte(Anta acid)

After having these medicines after meal, i could feel little comfort momentarily but it could not give me still complete relief and more or less the above mentioned systoms were still available. My loose motion, cramping in my intestine, acidity still continued for almost till the 2nd week of June 2010 and after that i again met the same physician. He adviced me to continue the same medication and asked me to see him again in the 3rd week of June. However, i could not visit him again and returned back to my home town in the 4th week of June.

Since then i continued to see the new general physician in my hometown. On the 1st visit he prescribed me to have the following medications.

1. Oflomac 300 1-0-1
2. Pantop D 1-0-1

He suggested me to have my blood test, abdomenum sonography and stool test. Blood test and sonography was completely normal. However, there was some
User :   issues with the stool test.

1. Mucus - Present
2. Occult blood - Positive
3. PUS Cell - 1-2 Cells/HPF
4. RBCS - 10-12 Cells/HPF
5. Epithelial Cell - 1-2 Cells/HPF
6. Vegetable - Present.

Based on the above examination he prescribed me ORNI 500 1-0-1.The doctor suggested that it could be due to bacterial infection in stomach.

I conituned oflomac, Pantop D and Orni 500 for almost 5 days (Last week of June 2010). There was some improvements in the existing symptoms such as the cramping of my stomach/intestine vanished but the acidity in my intestine still continued. Mucus in the stool again reappeard after the completion of the medication. Abnormal acidity leading to false appetite or emptiness of the stomach continued. Uneasiness in the stomach/intestine was also present. I visited the same physician again and he prescribed me the following medication for next 5 days (2nd week of July).

1. Normaxin 1-0-1
2. Bifilac 1-0-1
3. Neksium 1-0-0

After having the medicines for 4 days there has been some improvement like relatively better motion/stool, no burning sensation in my food pipe due to acidity or could not feel the mucus on 3rd and 4th day but not yet fully recovered. The following symptoms still exists.

1. Sourness of the tongue after i have anything like milk, biscuits, fruits which last for 3-4 mins
2. Layer of white coating on tongue
3. Bloating/Bubbling sensation in my stomach/intestine in patches of 5-10 mins in morning and evening. It feels like the acidity still exists and then feel like false appetite or empty stomach, even though i had something recently may be an hours back.
4. Uneasiness in stomach/intestine and Burbs/hiccups immediately after having some food.
5. Feel driness in mouth and empty stomach when i get up from sleep in the morning.
6. Stress on my eyes (as if its getting pulled inward) specially when there is acidity.
7. Heat on my feet
User :   especially when there is acidity.

My doctor said after taking the above mentioned course for 5days. It will be alright but i still dont see much difference even on the 4th day.

Pls suggest if the diagonisis is going in the right direction or something else needs to be done asap or i need to see any specialist for this case.

Doctor :   Over-the-counter antacids in liquid or tablet form are a common treatment for mild gastritis. Antacids neutralize stomach acid and can provide fast pain relief. When antacids don't provide enough relief, medications such as cimetidine, ranitidine, nizatidine or famotidine that help reduce the amount of acid the stomach produces are often prescribed

Doctor :   Many people with gastritis experience no symptoms at all. However, upper central abdominal pain is the most common symptom; the pain may be dull, vague, burning, aching, gnawing, sore, or sharp. Pain is usually located in the upper central portion of the abdomen, but it may occur anywhere from the upper left portion of the abdomen around to the back.
