User :   I am suffering from gastritis for the last 2 months characterised by pain in the upper right abdomen whenever I belch and also pain (occassionally) at the time of having food.
User :   I have done ultrasound, barium x ray and endoscopy. The forst two didnt reveal anythin much, the endoscopy showed antral erosions and other parts normal.

User :   age 42 yrs, gender : male, occupation : service ( administrative, 6 days 8 hr p/day job), married, weight 74 kg, height 5feet 11 ", dependents: spouse aged 38 yrs, daughter aged 8 yrs

Doctor :   Are you having any other symptoms other than Belching and Pain abdomen

User :   diet quite regular, bed tea with biscuits, rice and sabzi at 9 am, rice and sabzi at 1 pm(office),fruits at abt 6 pm. 2 chapatis and rice with fish at abt 9-45 pm. I dont smoke, dont consume alchohol ( have not for the last 40 days and even before used to take rarely say 2-3 times a monthand abt 3 pegs max). I am into yoga and walking, exercise at leat 1.15 hrs every day

User :   no other syonptoms except pain while belching and slight pain while eating ( not always). No dark stools or choclate coloured stools. but I remberI passed dark stools once a few months back . but next day it was normal.
User :   I am taking pantaprazol once( 30 mg) daily and domperidome twice daily 10 mg each i think

Doctor :   and is there any improvement since the last 2 months
Doctor :   with the routine you had just mentioned
User :   I am takin pantrapole and domperidone for the last 10 days only. improvements,I think some improvement but the problem is still there
Doctor :   Patience is the virtue I would say in Gastritis
Doctor :   You atleast take 6 to 8 weeks with the pantaprazole and the life style modifications you are on
Doctor :   Continue the same
Doctor :   But factor is if you get back to the alcohol it reverts back
Doctor :   Do not eat/drink: Chocolate, tomatoes, tomato sauces, oranges, pineapple and grapefruit, mint, coffee, alcohol, carbonated beverages, and black pepper.
Doctor :   Maintain the exercise and diet pattern strictly as far as possible and i am sure that you will get back your original quality of life

User :   my doctor too asked me to continue the medicine for 2 mnts and you are giving the same opinion, thnks for the list of items to be avoided. Can I have limbu ( lime juice) mixed with dal when I have rice?

Doctor :   Lime should be as much avoided
