User :   well i have been experiencing really bad gas in the night

User :   well this has been happening on and off from a long time

the common causes for this include air swallowing, breakdown of undigested food in the night in small intestine,

chronic belching may have an upper GI disorder, such as peptic ulcer disease, or GERD (gastroesophargeal reflux)

the best way to avoid gas in night is to check on what you have for dinner

take Gelucil syrup two teaspoons atleast two times a day before food for 1 week

also follow these tips

1) avoid fatty food, non veg, warm milk at night

2). avooid vegetables like potato, cabbage, cauliflower and eggs in the night which are known to stimulate more gas production

3.)avoid oily stuff

4.) avoid lying down immediately after food, as this relaxes the esophago gastric sphincter, and allows escape of gas through the esopahgus

5.) give a gap of atleast half hour between dinner and going to sllep

6.) take a small walk after dinner.
