User :   Hello, I started feeling a weird tingling in my right and left hands which caused me to want to go get my blood pressure checked in one of those machines usually found by pharmacies. My systolic is 143 and my diabolic is this something I should be concerned about?

User :   a little tingling in my hands...a little bit of a weird very slight tingling in my left leg by my upper thigh/pelvic area

User :   my mother recently was diagnosed at the age of 62 with type II (less serious type?) and is overweight

Doctor :   ok, since you mother was diagnosed with DM type-II, there are chances for you too
Doctor :   to develop diabetes if your lifestyle is mostly sedentary
Doctor :   i would recommend you to get sugars tested along with a HbA1C test which tells your sugar controll over 2-3 months time
User :   is it possible that there is anything going on with my heart at this time? A little worried about that with what I've read online
User :   I took two bayer 325 mg about an hour before the test if that means anything
Doctor :   do you have chest discomfort, tightness, palpitations, sweating associated?
User :   no sweating, but have had a little chest tightness, but the tightness seems to go away when I it will build and then dissapate with a belch

User :   I have had two palpatations, but that has been somewhat common with my GERD

User :   no burning
Doctor :   do you have burping, belching, flatulence?
User :   some slight burping/belching...not much else
Doctor :   does your chest symptoms get relieved by burping/belching?
User :   yes
Doctor :   are you on medications for GERD?
User :   no medication for it
Doctor :   i would recommend these for you
Doctor :   1) get started on Tab Prilosec once a day on empty stomach for GERD
Doctor :   2) get Fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels done, along with HbA1C test
Doctor :   3) keep monitoring BP every day 2 times a day for a week, maintain a diary
Doctor :   if it crosses 140/80 mark, then report to your doctor for further investigations
Doctor :   4) maintain a low fat, low salt diet, low carb diet
User :   is there something I can do at home to monitor my bp at home? Or just best to go use the machines?

Doctor :   5) if chest symptoms continue to be present or get worse, then go ahead with getting baseline ECG test done immediately after the chest symptoms.
User :   what is a baseline ECG test?
Doctor :   it is a ECG done to see if everything is fine
