User :   I am a 31 year old female. I donâ??t smoke, drink alcohol or caffeine. I am 5â??8 and weigh 165 pounds. I am currently taking 20 mg of Prilosec a day along with 2 Flinstone gummy vitamins. I have some anxiety, GERD and currently experiencing heart palpitations. I had a stress echocardiogram done in May 08. Results were normal. I had an upper endoscopy done 7/31/09, and results showed some signs of acid reflux irritation, and a small irritated spot in my esophagus.
User :   I was told I would need to take a PPI indefinitely. Iâ??ve been to the ER three times in the past two months. The first two times with shortness of breath, and chest pain (tender to the touch). The EKGs were normal, and the blood test for blood clots was normal. An abdominal ultrasound was done, and that too was normal. The third time I went was for some slight numbness on the left side of my face. No test were given, I was told it maybe Bellâ??s Palsy and was sent home. I had no idea I even had GERD until the first ER visit. I had no previous indications of heartburn prior to that ER visit other than some occasional shortness of breath after eating a large meal. Now since that first ER visit in June of this year, I have been so anxious, because I feel like I donâ??t know whatâ??s going on with my body. I am currently
