Doctor :   As per your history the condition is more towards
Doctor :
Neurogenic or nervous bladder
User :   I fear the bathroom thing is becoming another obsessive issue
User :   That is what I think
Doctor :   Nothing to worry, relax
User :   What is a very basic test to rule out physiological
User :   I have talked with the teacher and as far as I can tell with nervous bladder issues the best thing to do is destress the situation
Doctor :   All most, all the tests will be normal
Doctor :
and will not show any abnormality
User :   OK
Doctor :   but still the kid will have increased frequency
User :   Any ideas about what to do for a nervous bladder
Doctor :   I will guide you in this
Doctor :
Toilet training will be great help to her
User :   really
Doctor :
Counseling will help the kid more
User :   That may be a bit harder but was already thinking of ways to do that
Doctor :   Many doctors prefer to treat overactive or nervous bladder through retraining
Doctor :   If retraining fails then medications can be tried
Doctor :
the most commonly used medications are
Doctor :
Solifenacin
User :   There are limited resources for counceling here but that is what I prefer
Doctor :
and derifenacin
Doctor :
nervous bladder treatment include the invention of a patch that is applied twice a week to the skin of the stomach or hip
Doctor :   The patch delivers a medication called oxybtynin which relaxes the muscles and supports normal urinary frequency.
Doctor :   But these medications and patch is given only after the consultation with urologist
Doctor :
If these measures fail then
Doctor :
surgery is the last optuin
Doctor :
Option
Doctor :
Invasive bladder augmentation procedures
Doctor :   But first go for
Doctor :
1. Retraining toilet
Doctor :
2. Counseiling
Doctor :
this will help the kid more
User :   Wow! I didn't know there were so many optians for trating a nervous bladder
Doctor :
yes there are many options for treating nervous bladder
Doctor :
Treatment is step by step
Doctor :
A child psychiatrist would help her through by deconditioning and behavioural changes.
User :   I feel a lot better
Doctor :   First of all, do not be angry with her
Doctor :   Accept this behavior as normal for children her age even though its abnormal
Doctor :
Try first taking her on short trips in a car or bus
User :   Definately not, but worried the teacher is getting too frustrated and adding stress therefore making it worse
Doctor :   then gradually lengthen the trip
Doctor :   The more she sees herself not needing to rush to the toilet, the more self confidence she'll gain.
Doctor :   Try also positive re-inforcement when she doesn't freak out.
User :   Yep, you got it. She is deathly afraid of long trips on buses
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :
But they are small kids
Doctor :
they dont know what happening
User :   Now, only trains with toilets
Doctor :   We should sit with them and explain the whole process one by one
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
So relax now
Doctor :
and feel comfortable
Doctor :
get a urologist opinion
User :   I do feel much better and now I have a game plan.
User :   Thank you!!!!!
Doctor :
and then start the above treatment one by one
User :   I will
Doctor :   Please fill the feed back form and comment box
User :   Thank you and good night
User :   I really appreciate the game plan
Doctor :
