Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Hi,
Doctor :   OK
User :   We just saw a doctor at one of the local clinics for my father
User :   He is 54... and was complaining of frequent Urination & high perspiration for the last couple of days
Doctor :   OK
Doctor :   OK
User :   He was also feeling some heaviness in the chest, though he didnt call it a pain
User :   so the dr did an ECG followed by a 2D echo
Doctor :   OK
Doctor :   oK
User :   and said that the heart was functioning beautifully
Doctor :   I would like to a few more things before suggesting : User :   but still advised us of going for a trop t test
Doctor :   Does he suffer with any diagnosed medical conditions?
User :   my question is whether this is required and also what is your analysis of the problem
User :   sure..
Doctor :   Was he investigated for Diabetes, Hypertension in the recent past?
User :   no
Doctor :   May I know the frequency of his urination and does he complain of incomplete emptying of the bladder?
Doctor :   OK
User :   no.. just by way of family history, his elder brother underwent a bypass around 5 yrs back
Doctor :   Does he complains of excessive thirst, and in nights does he frequently gets up for urination?
User :   5-6 times for the last 2-3 days & no
Doctor :   Ok
User :   no
Doctor :   After going through the description provided by you, the most common possibility producing the symptoms could be Diabetes.
Doctor :   The other possibilities are Benign prostatic hypertrophy or Myocardial abnormality.
Doctor :   As already ECG and 2D echo is done and turned out to be normal it would be better to get a stress ECG or TMT test to know exact cause of the chest pain related to heart or not.
Doctor :   It would also be better to get a Fasting blood sugar levels and post prandial blood sugar levels to rule Diabetes.
User :   ok.. so do you recommend we go for the trop t test?
Doctor :   Yes get it done, but I feel that there are very low probabilities of any myocardial abnormalities but better to rule out.
User :   we are going for a full check-up tomorrow which includes tmt/stress/gxt & blood sugar tests
Doctor :   Ok. these tests will give us a Idea about the cause and if required we can go confirmatory tests to identify the cause.
Doctor :   an USG abdomen will also will be helpful in ruling out Benign prostatic hypertrophy.
Doctor :   Yes, thats Ultra sound abdomen.
Doctor :   Did you follow my suggestions?
User :   is that Ultra sound of the abdomen? If so thats included in the check up as well
Doctor :   Sure.
Doctor :   Are there any more queries for me to help you with?
Doctor :   Pleasure here.
User :   ok, thanks Dr... I will get the trop T done and get back once the results are out
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Take care
User :   yes, thank you very much
