Fluttering eye, increases when washed. Advise? - Online Doctor Chats
welcome to XXXXXXX
My Right eye is fluttering since quite a many days
May I know your age ?
Does this affect you all the time, and all days ?
or is it occuring only during some time of the day ?
not all the day but some times during the day
especially during morining times ..
does this affect you in any way, like causing pain, vision problems etc ?
no it is not paining ..
r u suspecting Transgenial Neuralgia??
Most likely, this is due to sensitive nerve endings in the eye lids, which cause the involuntaty muscles in the eyelid to contract
it is not paining at all but it has been over 2 months it is fluttering like this ..
No , thats not the probable cause
earlier i ignored it but it persisted for quite a long i suppose
and such things can happen to most people, at any time,
it is not TN ?? is it??
I read it some where
n I thought it may be starting with contraction and then moving on to pain
as such, you need not worry or be bothered about that
almost 60 % individuals , have such things, often
hmm . .
but this is a benign issue, and left alone, it will subside on its own
there is no need for any form of treatment
any cure to that .. coz although it isnt cozing any pain it irritates me
in case, such flickering , is very severe, happening all day and even at night, then prescription medications can be prescribed to control that
First, conditions like thyroid disorders have to be ruled out
oooops .. it can be thyroid disorder toooo??
is Thyroid disorder hereditary?
coz my mom has it
in some cases, it can be , but it is not necessary, that kids can have, if their parents have it
but the probability increases
Does your mom have a low functioning thyroid ?
I m not aware of what level she has higher or lower
ok doc I'll get those tests done first and we can check ..
