Doctor :   Regarding the Pterygium, most of the journals say a day care surgery can only treat it, not a glue kind of technique as there might be recurrence
Doctor :   It is very simple technique that is done under Local anesthesia
Doctor :   and just 15 minutes of time
User :   From net and some of the doctors I got the message that with glue there is no stitches and no recurrence
User :   Earlier it was in left eye and operated for 4 times. So now patient is afraid of it that it should not be oparated like earlier.
Doctor :   Glue techniques are proposed recently and I am not sure even the highest centres in India are doing it
Doctor :   Call this centre
Doctor :   and ask if they are using Adhesive technique for Pterygium surgery
Doctor :   0000??
User :   OK Thanks
Doctor :   this way you can ask other eye hospitals aboiut the Fibrin Glue technique
User :   But is it true that with this technique chances of recurrence are minimised?
Doctor :   I am not sure
Doctor :   They say the infection is more with this
Doctor :   Though a study says the post operative pain and recurrences are less compared to surgical technique
Doctor :   So one has to weight the benefits versus risks
Doctor :   for each patient
User :   Ok I will enquary. pl . mail me as u promise.
Doctor :   I have enquired now
Doctor :   I could not find any one who is doing this
Doctor :   But you personally can call the eye hospitals and ask about the FIBRIN GLUE TECHNIQUE FOR PTERYGIUM
