Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I am 26 weeks pregnant.
User:My older child is recovering from a throat infection and fever.
User:I am also feeling a mild body and head ache this evening. On checking I found my temperature to be 100.4
User:I am 33 years old.
User:My consultant OBG had recommended Dolo 650 in case of mild headaches. I understand that this is paracetamol only - would you advise taking that for now untill I can consult with her again?
User:My throat has been sore since morning as well.
User:Yes to taking Dolo?
Doctor:I am sorry. Yes, Dolo 650 is paracetamol containing drug and is very safe at this time.
Doctor:You can take them for fever.
User:What would you recommend if that fails to lower the temp - how long can I wait untill I must visit the hospital?
User:Also, how many hours gap between 2 doses of Dolo 650?
Doctor:In addition you also can try salt water gargles to take care of sore throat.
Doctor:Dolo 650 can be repeated every 4 hours if fever does not reduce.
Doctor:Initially you can take them thrice a day to start with.
Doctor:The dose can be increased to 6times (every 4 hours) if fever persists.
Doctor:Another measures you can try for fever is warm tipid sponging - rubbing the forehead, armpit, neck and other areas with warm water.
Doctor:If you do not feel better in a day or two, please visit your gynecologist. He/she can consider prescribing antibiotics to you.
Doctor:Have you followed?
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:Yes doctor. This is helpful.
User:thanks much!
Doctor:You are welcome.
User:No. I dont have any more questions for now. Thanks for your time!
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
