Doctor:Viral fever, pharyngitis, or tonsillitis.
Doctor:If it is viral fever,it will usually take around 1 week to clear off. And it does not require any antibiotics.
Doctor:But if it is pharyngitis or tonsillitis, it is important to have antibiotics.
Doctor:So, you need to visit a doctor for a most probable diagnosis.
User:then what medicine should i continue if its viral fever
Doctor:Meanwhile, you need to do the following to relieve you from your present difficulties.
Doctor:1. Tab. Calpol 650mg, one tablet, 3 times daily for 3-5 days.

Doctor:Let me explain.
User:2.91 ulu/ml
Doctor:The difficulty in folding the hands could be due to different reasons.
Doctor:First, as you said, it could be due to hypothyroidism.
Doctor:Another factor to be ruled out in your wife's case is about other hormones.
Doctor:It is important to check out with an endocrinologist to see if her other hormone levels are within the normal range.
Doctor:If she is getting other joint pains, it is important to rule out rheumatoid arthritis too.
User:no there in no pain in other joints
User:and test for arthritis has also been done
Doctor:Fine. So most probably, it could be due to hypothyroidism.
Doctor:If her thyroid levels stay at optimum for sometime, then she should be getting better with the hand joints.
User:regarding vitamin d supplements shld they be continued
Doctor:It is fine to continue the vitamin D supplements based on the investigation levels.
User:for how much time'
Doctor:It could vary from period of 2 months to 6 months. Or it could be continued, if the examining physician feels that it is needed to continue.
