User :   hi my name is XXXXXXXX i have a 8 month old son who has a temp of 39.2 should i take him to hospital?

User :   no he seems fine but his been with a high temp for 2 days now
User :   i gave him panadol it takes it down for a hr or 2 then its bak up again
Doctor :   any assocoated vomitings or loose motions or diarrhea ?

User :   he is constipated
Doctor :   does he have any cold , cough, fever, rhnitis ?
User :   he has a fever that is about it'

Doctor :   Panadol would be fine , but any fever exceeding 3 days
Doctor :   requires investigations to be done to rule out anything major.
User :   ok then, thank you very much, at what stage should i take him hospital if it exceeds 40 ?

User :   yeh he is fine he has just been nagging alot and wants to be held at all times
Doctor :   If the baby is active , he seems to be fine, please give him lots of fluids.

User :   yeh he has been having plenty of bottles, juice and milk

Doctor :   Please do also see that at any point above 3-5 days he has to be investigated upon without which treatment becomes difficult.

Doctor :   Have you examined his skin, no reddish spots or any swollen parotids ?
User :   no his skin seems to be fine

Doctor :   Seems he will get well soon, a normal viral fever.
