Feeling hungry very soon. Thyroid test showed higher TSH levels. Advise? - Online Doctor Chats
Are you there, please go ahead with the query
Dr XXXXXXX confirmed that it is hypothyroid and to XXXXXXX the spesialist. My query now is: I am 28 years old and we are planing for pregnancy
Will this Hypo thyroid be any problem?
Ok I am reading it
What is your age, gender?
28 years, female
Ok though the TSH is slightly on a higher side
the T3 and T4 are on the normal range
I do not say it to be purely hypothyroid range
I would suggest to get the following after a month, Serum TSH, Free T3 and Free T4.
ok, I understand I have to do the free T3 and Free T4 tests
For now I suggest you to go ahead with you plan for pregnancy
Hopefully not but incase it is hypothyroid, will it have any effect on pregnancy?
In Hypothyroid the thyroxine is a hormone that is release from the thyroid gland
is not release in right quanity to suit to your body
so whatever the shortage it should be given with oral tablets
That is to be taken early morning empty stomach
Then there is no affect on the pregnancy or growin baby
how long i would need to use those tablets
Generally it is a prolonged course or lifetime course
However after starting the tablets you need to get 3 months TSH
and check if it is within normal range
as long as TSH is within normal limits
You can plan for pregnancy
Once the TSH is within normal range
You can repeat the test for now
ok. Thanks Doctor
Are yuo clear now?
Do you have any more queries?
Yes, got it. No questions for now
Ok all the best
Bye for now.
thanks bye :)
