User :   Hi, I have had an erratic diet last evening and since late last night, I am feeling giddy and vomiting continuously. I am taking ORS solutions but to no avail. What should I do? This is a recurring phenomenon almost once every month. I have had to be admitted to hospital once each time in 2007 and 2008 when the vomiting did not stop.
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
ok
User :   Do you suggest any medicine to stop the vomiting?
Doctor :
what treatment have you had in the past?
Doctor :
was endoscopy done for you anytime?
User :   no treatment as such
User :   no i did not have endoscopy
Doctor :
does this happen very often or after taking certain kind of diet?
User :   its usually ors at home
Doctor :
how many episodes of vomiting have you had uptil now?
User :   usually after taking oily and fried foods
Doctor :
ok
User :   from yesterday-9
Doctor :
please provide your age, gender, location, occupation, height and current weight
User :   30, male, kolkata, service, 5'2'' 59kgs
Doctor :   do you have heartburn and upper stomach discomfort?
Doctor :   do you have loose motions also along with vomiting?
User :   no
Doctor :
do you have abdomen pain?
User :   i did have lower stomach discomfort...mild cramp like abdomen pain
Doctor :
are you able to keep the fluids down ? or are you vomiting out everything that you have taken?
User :   yes, i am vomiting out everything
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
then in that case, you will need to be taken to hospital where they will give you antiemetics through injections to make your vomiting stop
Doctor :
also request them to do a endoscopy and a gastroenterologist opinion
User :   but can you suggest any medicine?
Doctor :
since you are not able to keep down anything that you are taking, oral medicines wil be of no use in your case
User :   this usually stops in 10-12 hrs time..it has been serious only twice in the past
Doctor :
you need to be given intravenous medications
Doctor :
to first control your symptoms
Doctor :
and then shift to oral medications.
User :   what oral medicines do you suggest?
Doctor :   along with this you wil need to folow few dietary advice such that you dont sufer these symptoms again
User :   just in case my symptoms are controlled
Doctor :
and take regular medications to keep the problem in control
User :   like?
Doctor :
you might be having chronic gastritis, which is acutely exacerbated after having a fatty/ ioly meal
User :   its true
Doctor :
to control your symptoms, you need thorough investigations with endoscopy
Doctor :
and then started on acid suppressors and treatment for H.Pylori infection
Doctor :
which is usually responsible in chronic cases
Doctor :
these medicines are prescription drugs
User :   ok can you tell me the medicines?
Doctor :
which are to be given after a thorough examination is done and the exact cause is made out
Doctor :
Since we havent physically examined you, it is inappropriate and unethical to prescribe you scheduled drugs.
Doctor :   so you need to visit a gastroenterologist for the examination
Doctor :
and treatment of the acute symptoms that you are having
Doctor :
and then start on a complete regimen of treatment
Doctor :
which might need to be continued for 2-3 months
User :   what about the diet?
Doctor :
have you followed what i have said?
User :   yes
Doctor :   diet changes will include having bland diet with no potato, cabbage, cauliflower, oily/fried stuff and for sometime even non-veg
