User :   Dear Dr , I have been taking glycomet 500 twice daily for type 2 diabetes
User :   however, I have been feeling very faint every time I take the medicine
User :   Is it supposed to be taken before food , with food , or after food

Doctor :   it should be taken before food
Doctor :   get your sugar levels tested along with glycosylated hemoglobin levels
User :   Actually wasnt too sure as I was takin it without food intake

Doctor :   yes it is done in fasting sample
User :   Also my sleep pattern is completely disturbed
Doctor :   the medications should be taken 15-20 minutes before food
Doctor :   and then food should be taken
Doctor :   the uncontrolled sugar levels can lead to sleep disturbances.
User :   what should be the ideal gap between the doses . How many hours
Doctor :   first your sugar levels has to be tested, and based on that the dosage is decided.
Doctor :   if your sugars are not controlled, then it can be given upto 3 times a day

User :   Thank you so much. Last time it was at 142 and I was diagnosed with Type 2 and put on medications. Although I have been feeeling better, my sleep was disturbed as well as was having fainting kinda off spells
