User :   Hi, may I answer your health queries
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I have a question that has been killing me. I have had swollen lymph nodes for 14 years now. Should I be concerned?
Doctor :   May I know your age and gender?
User :   I am 27 Male
Doctor :   Is it involving one lymphnode or a group of lymphnode in a particular area or do you have generalised swollen lymphnode of the entire body?
User :   Side of neck, groin, behind my ears, and in front of my ears. They are all moveable and most are less than 1 cm.
Doctor :   Do you have any other symptoms such as recurrent fever occuring very frequently, night sweats, loss of appetite, unexplained loss of weight?
User :   nope. but I think with in the last month my spleen may have swollen a bit. I can feel something hard under my left rib cage. I can still eat big meals with no problem. I should also tell you I am 5'-5" 135lbs and run marathons
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Have you seen a doctor in the past ( to know the reason for the swollen lymphnode)?
User :   no
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Do you have any medical illness such as diabetes/hypertension?
Doctor :   Are you sexually active?
User :   I have been SUPER stressed for about a year. I have been in a relationship for 14 years same woman we are married
Doctor :   Ok
User :   When I got really stressed my side would hurt where it is now swollen
Doctor :   Let me brief you now.
User :   Ulcer?
Doctor :   Lymphnode swelling is a feature of chronic infections and rarely due to tumours.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Since your swelling is restricted to only small group of lymphnodes which are less important
Doctor :   your symptoms are probably a non concerning one.
Doctor :   It may have probably occurred due to infections that you may have had in the past.
Doctor :   Occasionally those infections leave behind persistently swollen lymphnodes.
Doctor :   Swollen lymphnodes over the collar bones and in the arm pits are of concern than these lymphnode.
User :   I have one on my left collar bone too
Doctor :   However I would suggest you to consult your doctor and get yourself examined since you also report feeling of an enlarged spleen.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   do I have cancer doc?
Doctor :   I do not think that you are symptoms are related to that of cancers as the lymphnode swelling that you have are not significant.
