User : I had endometrial cancer 4 years ago...stage 1b...no lymph node affected. My CA 125 last Jan. was 37, retested 3 months later down to 31. With my most recent visit to oncologist, he said I did not have to come back for a year, but my CA 125 was elevated again to 42. I have been diagnosed with fatty liver. Could that be affecting the increased levels?

Doctor : and now coming on your elevated levels of CA 125
Doctor : there are many non cancerous conditions that can cause an elevated CA 125 level and most prominent being LIVER disease . since you do have a history so the elevation is because of the liver pathology and not because of any cancer re occurrence
