User :   hi, as per rececent report my Anti TPO is 2100 against normal level of 60. i have a histroy of thyroid disease from last 12 years
User :   Generally my TSH levels are higher than acceptable levels.

User :   my quqestion is what is the Anti TPO signify and why is it so high ?
User :   sorry i didnot clarify that i am talking about Blood test report which i do every 6 months
Doctor :   Anti Topoisomerase ( Anti TPO) is an enzyme which is said to be specific for a condition called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
Doctor :   a cause of Hypothyroidism
User :   so essentially i have to just continue to take thyroid medicine and no additional medicine to be taken to tackle the High Anti TPO

Doctor :   You have to contineu the thyroid supplements for life
Doctor :   and get the TSH levels checked once every 6 months or as directed by your treating doctor
