Done with CBC and MCV test. Can any on line doctor help me to read this? - Online Doctor Chats
Hello Doc..good evening
How can I help you?
today i did a CBC test in which the MCV test shows 80.4 cu
range says 83-101
just want to know about this thing
can u pls help on this
May I know what was the Hb level?
Is there any thing to worry
haemoglibin 15.4, RBC Count 5.3 and WBC 5900
it is fine
You need not worry.
That means it is the average volume of a red blood corpuscle (RBC)
just searched in internet its says if MCV is less then its deficiency of iron..something like this
It is found by dividing the total volume of RBC by the total count of RBC.
That is why I asked about your Hb levels.
It is extremely fine.
So there is no deficiency of iron in you.
hence, there is no cause to worry.
You can relax.
okies.. actually am worried little bit doc.. the thing is am havinng gastric issues.. Gastro doc says its GERD..today i just thought to take a blood count test..
endoscopy was fine
Please do not trust everything on internet.
so worried because of tis..although endoscopy says NORMAL
People write many things with half knowledge.
i read in wikipedia
See, let me explain.
so was worried..although am getting fine now and endoscopy was normal..so is there any things which can remove my fear
When you are looking only at symptoms, yes, many symptoms are there which could indicate a cancer.
But, to come to a diagnosis, only way is that you have to undergo tests and find.
if the tests are normal, then you need not worry.
yes endoscopy came NORMAL
only this test i did
What I would suggest you is to go for a holistic approach.
Find out how your body is doing in regards to health.
And then go for preventive measures to improve your overall health.
I mean, don't just look at a part of your body, in your case, stomach.
Look if any other causes are there which is causing this gastric irritation.
so i shud not be afraid of this stomach cancer or any other things..right?
as endoscopy was NORMAL
Yes. You should not worry about anything, until anything is found on investigations.
ok..and how to improve this MVC thing
Do not worry about that. As I said before, it is obtained by calculation. S
it is total volume of RBC divided by Number of RBC.
So if those values are altered, you get a different value.
So relax. you seem to be fine.
Have you understood all my suggestions?
Is there anything else I could help you on?
If you are not feeling better, I can give you a call and explain.
Thanks for consulting me.
Have a Nice Evening!!
Bye for now.
