User:good evening XXXXXXX
Doctor:Good evening
User:yesterday i got tested one more time for vdrl, hbsAg, HCV and urine examination
User:all of the came back negative and normal
Doctor:Thats good news
User:ya.. i asked my dermalist cum hiv specialist about the hiv retest
User:she told that its not required, she admitted that, pcr detects the presence of infection right from day 5
User:since ur result is not detected at day 30, she told its not required to have a re-test again
User:but she wrote the above mentioned sti's again
User:by gods grace, they all came back negative
Doctor:Thats good
User:thanks, generally, for other sti's also, is there a window period something like that?
User:its 3 months now, the risky incident happened
Doctor:There may be different window periods for different std
Doctor:But the serologies for specific infections can rule out acute infections
Doctor:positive IgM values for specific infection indicate recent infection
User:serologies ? anti body tests?
User:ok.. thats hsv tests right? after two months its negative, do i need a re-test for that?
Doctor:There are serologic tests available
Doctor:Since you are worried you may ask your doctor for these tests
User:yaa.. she has already suggested all the tests, they are done a month back, thats 2 months after that risky incident, they all came back negative
Doctor:Yes one test is available for hsv
Doctor:If it is negative then you do not need retest
Doctor:So no need to worry
Doctor:Those are the best tests available
User:ok.. thanks XXXXXXX. yesterday, doc observed the molluscum and suggested sporidex, multi vit's for faster healing
User:as you suggested in the past, she asked me to improve my immunity levels
Doctor:Medicines are not very effective in increasing immunity
User:yaa.. i started to take some good food and began to excercise for some time
Doctor:Mostly stress-free attitude, exercise, fruits and vegetables, hygienic food helps
User:sure thing XXXXXXX..
User:so, i guess there is nothing to worry for me now
Doctor:Nothing to worry
User:that's all I have for now...
