User :   I have been feeling light headed and dizzy. Also tired and not a real good appetite. What could this possibly be?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello. I have been feeling light headed and dizzy, also tired and not a real good appetite. What could this possibly be?
Doctor :   Can you please describe the episode
Doctor :   When did it happen how many times and what time of the day
User :   This started last Saturday night and is a ongoing thing. I just got over a bad cold, then I thought I had the flu, but not for this long
Doctor :   What is your age?
User :   43
Doctor :   Does it happen regularly?
Doctor :   Did you check for pulse and blood pressure, blood sugars?
User :   Ever since last Saturday night
User :   No I haven't yet
Doctor :   Do you take any medicines for any other medical problem?
User :   no
Doctor :   At this time, I have two possibilities
Doctor :   1) Acute Viral Infection affecting the Upper airways
Doctor :   2) Blood pressure is a good possibility at this age
Doctor :   First one resolves on its own with symptomatic treatment
User :   What about the bloodpressure? Could it be low or high? I am very scared to go to the doctor.
Doctor :   High
User :   What should I do?
Doctor :   There is nothing to be worried now
Doctor :   You just need symptomatic treatment for 5 days
Doctor :   and you just get better with all the symptoms
Doctor :   Some of the medicines are prescription based hence you need a doctor's consult
Doctor :   Importantly you have to check your blood pressure and sugar
User :   What is acute viral infection?
Doctor :   Virus affects for few days
Doctor :   3 to 5 days
Doctor :   you have cold, cough, body pains, excessively tired, loss of appetitie
Doctor :   YOu have to stay at home, rest, drink good amount of fluids, take medicines
Doctor :   good food and you will be alright in a 5 days time
User :   I have another question. I was on my monthly period, got a cold while I was on it, then my cold seemed to have cleared up before last Saturday, but when I was still bleeding, I started to get these symptoms of lightheaded, dizziness, sort of sick, tired, and a blood clot came out which is sort of unusual for me.
Doctor :   How many days did it bleed?
Doctor :   and how many pads each day?
User :   I always bleed very heavy for the first 2 days and then slow down for 2 or 3 days
Doctor :   That is Ok and I think it is normal for most women
Doctor :   Illness can prolong bleeding
User :   So I should go to my doctor and have him check the blood pressure out?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   You can else go to Nurse practitioner
Doctor :   and get some medicines
User :   You don't think that this is related to my monthly
Doctor :   If you lose too much blood then it can cause dizziness
Doctor :   but only once cannot cause so
Doctor :   it should be a long term excessive blood loss
Doctor :   You can also get Hemoglobin test done
Doctor :   to look out for anemia
