regarding ur discharge per vagina
User :   wait i want to know about this thyroid thing what does it mean and how do i treat it
Doctor :   thyroid is a gland present in the neck
Doctor :
it will release harmones which have many functions
Doctor :
in some persons thyroid gland will become overactive and secretes more harmones
Doctor :   thyroid harmone imbalance will lead to menstrual irregularities also
Doctor :
so first we are trying to rule out the common causes of menstrual irregularities
User :   ok
Doctor :
but as per ur history most probably u dont have thyroid problem
User :   then what?
Doctor :
there are some harmones called as sex harmones
Doctor :
which control the menstrual period
Doctor :   the sex harmomones are estrogen/progesterone/LH/FSH
Doctor :
so harmonal imbalnace is the most common cause of menstrual irregularities
User :   ok
Doctor :   first get these tests done
User :   from gyno?
Doctor :   yes or else from any lab
User :   ok
Doctor :
if there is any problem u can strat harmonal supplementation whivh will make ur menstrual cycles regular
User :   ok
User :   cant i just go bak on birth control
User :   or isnt that the same
Doctor :
no
Doctor :   but ocps also have role in making menstruation normal
User :   ok
User :   so basically go to my doctor get the test and go from there?
Doctor :   if there is any lab which will offer u investigation with out prescription, then we will guide u

User :   ok
User :   i live in a little town not to many doctors/labs
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :   if u use ocps unnecesarily then it will be a problem in future
Doctor :
and some times too much of stress also causes menstrual irregularities
User :   what is ocps
User :   well i do have a lot of stress in my life lately
Doctor :
birth control pills
Doctor :
frorm how many days u are having this menstrual irregularities?
User :   from day 1
User :   ever since i got my period i think i was 13 it was never "normal"
Doctor :   and ur stress?

from day 1?
User :   stress for about the past 3 years
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :   did u use ocps before?
User :   yeah i think i started taking them when i was 18...used for about 6 months....then stopped
User :   i dont know why...but then i just never went bak on them
Doctor :
did have any dfference when u took the tablets?
Doctor :
i mean in menstruation?
User :   it was regualr
Doctor :   it was 28 day cycle?

User :   i went on them because i use to get really bad cramps...like to where i would cry
User :   yes
Doctor :
affter takjing tabs ur cramps reduced?
User :   yes
Doctor :
good
Doctor :
then u can start ocps
User :   ok
Doctor :
this indicates that u are having menstrual irregkarities becuase of harmonal imbalance
User :   so takin birth contol again should help?

User :   okill make a appointment
Doctor :
but once u want have kids then u can stop it
