Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
How can i help you?
User :   i would like to ask something about my symptoms
Doctor :
Please proceed.
User :   i already had a MRI of the lumbar spine and they saw L3-4 and L4-5
User :   disc bulges mildly compressing the thecal sac
Doctor :
Ok
User :   L5-S1 there is a central and left paracentral disc protrusuion abutting the traversing left S1 nerve root
Doctor :
Ok
User :   first would you be kind to explain what this eans
Doctor :
Sure.
Doctor :   The contents of the spinal canal include
Doctor :
the spinal cord, its covering also know as the thecal sac, a layer of fluids and the spinal nerves that arises from these
Doctor :   If there is a bulging disc and the bulge is on the side of the spinal canal it can compress on these contents and causing the problem
Doctor :   And grossly the bulges are of two types
Doctor :
central and paracentral.
Doctor :
So you been having disc bulges at three levels
User :   how bad is having a bulging disc?
Doctor :   Most people develop the disc bulges due to bad posture and lifting heavy objects
Doctor :
but not all the disc bulges are severe
Doctor :
the severe bulges are those which compress the nerve roots
Doctor :
or compress the spinal cord either completely or partially\
User :   is there a compressed nerve root is my result?
Doctor :
So in your case i think the bulge that is at L5 and S1 is significant now.
Doctor :
That has to be treated if needed
User :   why docotr what makes it make significant? what are the possible treament?
Doctor :
But how ever if you continue with bad sitting posture or lifting heavy objects the other bulges can become significant too
Doctor :   The possible treatment are

Doctor :
Modification in the body posture
Doctor :   2. with good back rest.
Doctor :
3. painkillers and heat application to reduce the pain\
User :   before the MRI only my left thigh is the one that is very sensitive with cold water or anything that is cold that touches it
Doctor :   Ok
User :   but now my right whole legs is more sensitive
User :   and the most current new feeling is that the sensitivity is up to already the waist
Doctor :
It would be premature to report that these symptoms you have now are due these bulges
Doctor :   generally the S1 nerve root supplies the back of the ankle and upward
User :   it started with my right knee became literally weak
User :   between the feet and the knees for 2 days now it hurts a like that it feels like its burning inside
Doctor :   So you need to get examined by a doctor, a spine surgeon or a neurosurgeon to determine if the weakness and
Doctor :
and the sense abnormality are due to the the nerve compression
User :   before the RI i had a xray the result says
User :   spondylolisthesis, C4-C6, grade 1
User :   lumbosacral instability
Doctor :
The treatment is based on the examination and not based on the imaging reports
Doctor :
So i would suggest you to get a physical examination instead of the scans or the xrays
Doctor :
Have you followed?
User :   yes
Doctor :
So i would advise you to meet a spine surgeon or a neurosurgeon first.
Doctor :   Have you followed?
User :   but what do see with the symptoms that i have plus the results
Doctor :   Some of the symptoms may be due to the bulges

Doctor :
But only an examinatiion can tell indetail.
User :   ok
User :   can i ask you none more
Doctor :
Please proceed.
User :   in that MRI they saw that i have hydronephrosis of the right kidney
Doctor :
Ok
User :   when they let me have a IPV xray they cannot see anything that is causing it
Doctor :
Ok
User :   what are the things that may cause moderate hydronephrosis of the right kidney
Doctor :
Hydroneprosis by definition is caused by obstruction
Doctor :
the cause for the obstruction could be an infection, stone or other solid obstruction
User :   they also saw prominent right ovary with developing follicles
User :   i am already subtotal hysterectomy and left salpingo-oophorectomy
Doctor :   Follicle development is normally seen durin menstruation cycle.
User :   what does prominent ovary means? and what is causing this?
Doctor :   Prominent ovaries means the ovaries has slighty increased in size
Doctor :   Have you followed?
User :   yes
Doctor :
Do you have any other query?
User :   no none at this time thank you very much
Doctor :
Are you there?
Doctor :
