User :   It is recently realised that I have Memory Loss
User :   Memory Loss : Concentration, recollecting, focus problem. Problem in Talking, reading & writing.

User :   It was months I felt I had this problem, but during my MBA exams, I was not able to recollet in all the papers.

User :   I completed by exams yesterday & is very upset.
Doctor :   may I know if the memory loss is happening gradually , and is it for recent memory or long term ?
User :   It happens gradually & it is short term
Doctor :   I meant you could recollect recent things you learn, etc? not only with respect to studies but day to day life

Doctor :   do you forget things only related to studies or other things as well?
User :   other things as well
Doctor :   can you elaborate on the other things which you forget?
User :   My mom had shared about death a an uncle, next building which i forgot.

User :   Because I cannot focus I feel I am not gaining from my studies and scores are also too bad

User :   Very general ones, we all have some or other. nothing major.

Doctor :   do you have any other illness? as in diabetes , high blood pressure or anything else significant in the past or present?
User :   No.

Doctor :   have you consulted a doctor for this memory changes?
Doctor :   did you generally face similar problems when you studied for exams before as well
User :   Ya, I spoke to my GP, he said I am stressed out & gave me Iron tables.

Doctor :   how is your sleep pattern ? when do you sleep? is it regular? do you feel fresh once you wake up ?
User :   Not sure
User :   I am doing my part time MBA, hence I study at night only.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   how many hours do you get sleep?
User :   I always had an stressful life, but not to such as extent that I am blank.
Doctor :   ok

Doctor :   generally it is common to have memory loss when we prepare continuously for exams , added to it , the stress and altered sleep/lesser duration of sleep will cause changes
Doctor :   I would also agree with your doctor in saying that the memory loss is related to the stress of exams as other things are not significant with your history
User :   But if I am not able to recollect what I have studies, whats the use of my MBA
Doctor :   since you have been doing meditation I suggest you continue the same
Doctor :   recollection will happen only if you get good sleep
Doctor :   the mind needs good rest to recall things, even small details
User :   I face my problems while presentation etc......
Doctor :   you must work up a good plan , as in a time table and divide your portions accordingly

User :   Ya, I have started stammering.
Doctor :   stammering is a sign of an underlying anxiety
Doctor :   it is a common problem when people get conscious
User :   I feel I am not growing at workplace because of my limitations in absorbing
Doctor :   and are asked to speak in public
Doctor :   you can surely deal with all these problems do not worry
Doctor :   you will be able to be great at work place and get the MBA degree as well
User :   Ya presentations have to done in front of the entire class
Doctor :   you must follow these things
Doctor :   1. avoid anxiety , try deep breathing exercises whenever you get anxious
Doctor :   2. avoid coffee, tea , aerated drinks , etc , they increase the anxiety
Doctor :   3. meditation helpa a lot in calming the mind down
Doctor :   4. you could also consult a psychiatrist for counseling ,t hey will teach you good methods to plan and reach your goal and to deal with the stammer as well
User :   I have been told by my fried that I may have chemical defencies & hence........
Doctor :   electrolyte deficiencies can be a reason for memory loss
Doctor :   but I would not think of it in your case
User :   Is it something major
Doctor :   after a thorough examination from your doctor, the tests may be recommended
Doctor :   no , I do not see anything major
Doctor :   do not worry
Doctor :   as your general physician has examined you , you need not worry about the electrolyte imbalance
User :   My performance all accross is badly affected, hence tensed.
Doctor :   the more you get tensed the more the memory loss
Doctor :   so i advise you not to think about it
Doctor :   the best way to deal with stammer is to ignore it , do not think about it
Doctor :   you may just need a few sessions of counseling from the doctor
Doctor :   and if he feels there is a neurological cause associated , then some tests may be needed
User :   So I should approach a psychiatrist for counseling
