User :   i am a 21 yr old female. i have had one successful pregnancy and birth 15 months post partum. i have been trying to get preg for 6 months now
User :   so i have been tracking my periods and paying alot of attention to it
Doctor :   ok,
User :   i was supposed to start oct 20. and started a light period on the 21
User :   it went light for about 3 days. and then stopped which has been normal for my my entire life.
Doctor :   ok,
User :   then on the 5th day it started spotting and has been spotting everyday since.
User :   this morning i woke up to heavy cramping and a heavy period.
User :   i took a pregnancy test 2 days before my period date and was a neg. and when i started figured it was another no go this month
Doctor :   Which day of the period is today ?
User :   11 or 12
Doctor :   Are you on any medication ?
User :   oxcarbazepin
User :   300mg
Doctor :   Since when are you on this medicine and may i know for what reason ?
User :   3 months. bipolar
User :   bipolar type 1
Doctor :   Ok, not related to the present problem
User :   no
Doctor :   its atypical to bleed on 12 th day
User :   thats what i figured
Doctor :   visit a gynecologist and get a PV examination which will give a clue of the hormonal status in you
User :   ok.
Doctor :   And if needed get your LH and FSH levels
User :   so do you think this is the result of a hormone malfunction and not a failed implantation?
Doctor :   Yes,
Doctor :   if it was a failed implantation the pregnancy tests would be positive
User :   ok.. even though i took it two days before and havnt since i figured it had started
Doctor :   I am sorry i didnt understand
User :   i have only taken one test. and that was two days before my period started
Doctor :   Thats ok,
User :   ok.
Doctor :   if you get the test atleast within 5 days of the missed period
Doctor :   that would be considerable
User :   ok
Doctor :   is there anything i can help you with ?
User :   i am just getting really tired of not being able to get pregnant when it was so easy with my first
Doctor :   Its very uncertain for about 2 years to conceive after a child birth
Doctor :   have to keep trying naturally , do not go for any ovulation induction
User :   yeah i cant afford induction. i am just concerned becuase my husband is a type 1 diabetic. so i didnt know it that would affect coneiving
User :   if that*
Doctor :   yes, that would be a chance , get a semen analysis of your husband
Doctor :   Diabetes is one of the cause of infertility in men
User :   is there anyway to reverse that?
User :   anything to do to help. hes only 21?
Doctor :   I suggest you to first confirm the fact
User :   ok
Doctor :   its a possibility which needs to be looked into
User :   ok..
Doctor :   is there anything i can help you with ?
User :   nope. other than what would be symptoms of concern i should look for with my prolonged period?
Doctor :   see for white discharge
Doctor :   if its present then you may need a swab test
User :   ok.. so that would be a sign of?
Doctor :   ok, Thanks for consulting me ,
Doctor :   kindly provide your feedback
User :   thank you
Doctor :   Bye for now
Doctor :   take care
