User :   hi, im 23 years old. my husband and i have been trying to fall pregnant for almost for years. Ive been diagnosed with pcos of having ovarian cysts but too small to be removed from what my doctor has told me. Im very health and have been taking elivte for 1 year. My husband has no problems as he has been chacked out.. I dont know what my next step is and what i should do. People say Ivf or to corret...what can you give me?

User :   they havent given me any they said that i didnt need any
User :   my testoseron level is double than normal from what they tell me
Doctor :   have ovulation induction drugs tried for you to help with egg release and conception?
Doctor :   what were the hormonal tests done? what did the results show?
User :   it was on my 21 cycle
Doctor :   if your testosterone levels were found hight, was any treatment started to bring them back to normal?
User :   im ovulating as normal, my testoseron was double, and insulin was perfect

User :   no i havent done that as yet they havent refered me to anyone either...
Doctor :   and do you mean to say it was testosterone levels or estrogen progesterone levels that was checked?

User :   all i have done is 4 blood tests on 21 cycle testing and 4 ultrasounds showing high quantity of very small cysts
Doctor :   what i recommend to you is to go ahead with discussing these with your treating doctor on next visit
Doctor :   1) referal to gynecologist
User :   all was checked the only thing that wasnt normal was testosteron levels normal is 5.3 i was or am 10.8
Doctor :   if your treating doctor is not one
Doctor :   2) test hormonal levels including FSH, LH, TSH, prolactin levels again along with DHEA levels

Doctor :   4) Get a follicular scan done, these are scan to monitor growth of follicles in ovary and time the egg release for you to have fruitful intercourse
User :   but hwat do you think that is wrong with me not falling pregnant
Doctor :   these tests wil sugest if there are hormonal problems that are not letting you get pregnant
Doctor :   or if the PCOS is not letting your eggs to be released
Doctor :   5) get a HSG done to look for any blockage in tubes, which might not allow for fertilization to occur
Doctor :   discuss these with your doctor
User :   ok
Doctor :   and proceed with them, such that the cause is found and treatment done
Doctor :   to enable you to get pregnant

Doctor :   if all the tests come normal, and stil you do not get pregnant with 3 cycles of trying
Doctor :   then you can go ahead with discussion with an Infertility specialist for IVF
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
User :   what do you think that if my tests a normal but im not falling pregnant what my stop it

Doctor :   if all the tests come normal, and stil you do not get pregnant with 3 cycles of trying, IVF would be the right choice
