User :   my friend is diabetic and drinks quite oftn ..he is there any correlation

User :   he is drinking for some 10 years now...but last 5 years frequenly
Doctor :   moderate amounts of alcohol can cause blood sugar to rise, excess alcohol can decrease your blood sugar level
User :   so for diabetics is it ok to drink?? is this diabetes because of drinking??
Doctor :   so since he is diagnosed as diabetic and if he continues drinking it will lower the glucose level to dangerous levels

User :   but diabetes is hgher blood sugar level and heavy drinking can make these levels go down..then how is it dangerous??
