User :   I have noticed that my uvula is curved (to the left) and I don't know whether this is anything to be concerned about - I have never looked at it before so have no idea whether it has always been like that. I have read stuff about deviated uvulas on the internet which are concerning. I have no other symptoms. Could this just be me or is it a concern?
Doctor :   Hello
Doctor :   i am
Doctor :   give me a min please
Doctor :   let me read your query
Doctor :   may i know your age please ?
User :   38
Doctor :   i see
Doctor :   and you said no other symptom
User :   no other symptoms
Doctor :   well i can assure you that there is nothing to worry about
User :   do some people just have curved uvulas
Doctor :   yes its just there , see its only of a concern to the medical field IF you have any symptoms

Doctor :   if not then you are just different in a nice way
Doctor :   so dont worry
Doctor :   its absolutely fine
User :   have you seen other helathy
User :   sorry, have you seen other healthy patients with such an anomaly?
Doctor :   i am general physian and not a ENT but i did refer to our medical data base and its clearly has mentioned that if the deviation of the uvula is not causing any symptoms that this normal
User :   ie some people do just naturally have a curved uvula?
Doctor :   yes its there
Doctor :   as long as its not a obstruction or causing any difficulties
User :   do you think I need to see an ENT consultant? Also, a curved uvula is not known to be the first symptom of anything is it? Obviously I read on internet about cranial nerve lesions if uvula is deviated.
Doctor :   i my opinion you don't have to , but if you want i would be glad to refer to our specialist
Doctor :   do you have any speech difficulties ?
User :   none. presumably if cranial nerve problem, then there would be a multitude of other symptoms?
Doctor :   thats correct
User :   It would appear it is just me then! It has probably always been like that!
Doctor :   thats the key point
User :   Thank you for your assistance!
Doctor :   YOur welcome
Doctor :   i am glad i was able to help you
Doctor :   you take care of your self
Doctor :   and there is nothing to worry about
User :   thank you!
