on sunday i faced tooth iching which i did some activities like tooth pressing, moving tooth and using tooth pics to feel relax.
Today my cheeks has been swelled.
Could you please suggest on this.

User :   yes.. i am some what recovered from Tooth pain but my cheeck/gums are swelled

Doctor :   Since you report of swelling, it probably looks secondary to inflammation.
Doctor :   Such changes happen secondary to infection.
Doctor :   Accordingly you probably may be suffering from a dental caries or gum infection.
Doctor :   Along with the ibuprofen that you take, you need antibiotics.
Doctor :   I can suggest you few OTC that can be used.

Doctor :   1. Chlorhexidine mouth gargles.
Doctor :   You can use them to regularly gargle - thrice a day
Doctor :   2. Topical antibiotics such as Metrogyl gel (oral metrogyl gel) can be used
Doctor :   Apply on the aching toot.
Doctor :   *tooth.
Doctor :   3. Continue the use of antiinflammatory medication such as ibuprofen 400mg twice a day.
Doctor :   4. If your symptoms aggravates or if you develop fever, you may need higher antibiotics in the form of oral medications
Doctor :   Since oral antibiotics are prescription only medication
Doctor :   you need to consult a dentist who can prescribe these medications.
