User :   hello, yesterday our doc said there is a placental surface cyst about 55 mm long, but we don't need to be worried and it is not important at all. my wife is 23w2d pregnant, what is your opinion?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   Dr Anvekar here
User :   this is
User :   we went to our doctor yesterday
Doctor :   placenta is like a large cyst , flattened on one surface
Doctor :   and it does contain outgrowths here and there
Doctor :   and there is nothing to worry about this
User :   my wife had a bleeding at 6w
User :   they made some tests and
User :   and a doc said she has protein s problems
Doctor :   ok
User :   but another doc said there is no problem and we are confused
Doctor :   is she still having any issues
User :   this cyst could be related to protein s?
User :   no bleeding
Doctor :   no this is not related to protein def
User :   her test was 56 for protein values
User :   but test done we she was pregnant
Doctor :   may i know what the test specifically
User :   so doc said it is notmal to be def
User :   they tested protein s and c
User :   I don't know the details
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   is she anaemic?
User :   and what do you mean by saying, placenta is like a large cyst
User :   she is nott anaemic
User :   we used fraxiparine for 2 months
Doctor :   the placenta contains blood vessels, and tissues which are not fixed like a hard organ (eg liver or kidney)
User :   then our second doc made us not to
Doctor :   the placenta can vary in shape and size
User :   briefly, you say that we do not need to worry
User :   but could it grow more?
User :   should we go to more freq?
Doctor :   not much
Doctor :   the placental tissues can grow into any space available within the uterine cavity and as such they are not like tumors
Doctor :   and you dont need to worry as it is not going to affect the baby
User :   I was planning to go to every week to see if it is growing
Doctor :   there is not need to do so
User :   my wife is 36 years old, as I said she had bleeding between 6w and 11w
User :   what do you think is the reason for this cyst?
User :   and our first baby
Doctor :   there is notthing to worry about this cyst as this is a part of the placenta itself
Doctor :   and the cause of spoting , which can be normal, in early stages
User :   thank you
Doctor :   you are welcome
