User :   I am a professional opera singer and I have contracted a throat infection. I have an extremely important concert tomorrow so I visited a doctor today, not my own doctor who knows my voice (I am out of the concert performing). This doctor today wouldn't give me the cortisone injection I requestec but prescribed me prednisolone, 40mg today and 40mg tomorrow before the concert. I know prednisolone and it does not reduce swelling of the vocal folds enough. If anything, I am now worse after taking my dose of 40mg before the rehearsal. what do you suggest? Visiting another doc/hospital and demanding the cortisone or demanding to speak with someone who KNOWS the voice? Many thanks, XXXXXXXX
