User:My baby is now 10 months old & she didn't take any vaccine as of now.
User:Please advise me how to complete all dose for that.
Doctor:Has she not taken any vaccine till now?
Doctor:bcg is given at birth and is given to all babies
Doctor:has she been given that
User:I am not sure as her birth was in rural area & I was not there.
Doctor:since she was born by c-section she must have received medical care
Doctor:bcg is given on on arm near the shoulder
Doctor:opv is also given at birth
Doctor:bcg leaves a mark
User:Yes. but we don't received any information from hospital that time.
Doctor:you may be able to see the mark of the vaccine
User:She is not having any mark on her arm for bcg.
Doctor:so we need to start with opv and bcg
Doctor:bcg should be given before she turns 1 yr of age
Doctor:after 10 days she can be given dpt
Doctor:DPT needs to be repeated every 6 weeks
User:Is there any one vaccine for all.
Doctor:MMR can be given 10 days after first dose of DPT
Doctor:I wish there was
User:what could be side effect of these vaccine. Do we need to take any precoution before vaccination.
Doctor:I really think that she may have received bcg
Doctor:in doubt a ppd test can be done
Doctor:DPT may cause some fever and redness of the needle site
Doctor:BCG causes a wound that results in a scar
Doctor:Otherwise the vaccines are safe and much needed
Doctor:Once the vaccination is uptodate
Doctor:routine vaccine may be carried out after that
Doctor:Do you have any question here?
User:No. Thank you so much... You are really Great...☺☺☺☺☺
