User :   ok

1.get a colposcopic examination done
Doctor :
2. check for pregnancy test.
Doctor :
3.get a thyroid profile done
Doctor :
4.get a CT scan done
Doctor :
as it could probably be a cervical erosion or a polyp
User :   ok if i had a pregnancy test done and it came back neg when i saw the dr and had ultrasound is there even a chance of that happening
Doctor :
which could not be picked up with ultrasound
User :   and why the thyroid profile
Doctor :
yes there is a chance of it happening with the IUD inserted
Doctor :
5.get the IUD removed
Doctor :
i will explain
User :   but wouldnt they have seen that wiht the ultrasound and the pregnacy test
User :   ok
Doctor :
i suggest you a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant even with the IUD in place which will cause severe cramps
Doctor :
cervical erosions in early stages are not picked up easily which again r a cause for pain
User :   ok
Doctor :
thyroid profile to check if you are not getting normal period due to some thyroid hormone changes
User :   ok
Doctor :
CT scan to pick any small polyps or any other things which are present and could be a cause for pain and cramps, which were not picked by the ultrasound
User :   ok
Doctor :
and lastly to remove the IUD, as it itself can cause cramps as it is
Doctor :
a foriegn body in th uterus
User :   ok
Doctor :
and anything that irritates the uterus, it will violently try to remove it out which will be with painful cramps
User :   in your opinion though you dont believe that it could be something like cancer or endometriosis or something serious like that
Doctor :
so each time you check for the thread/string of IUD, it will result in cramping
Doctor :
no not right now
Doctor :
to see if it is due to endometriosis or cancer, again u will need CT scan or MRI
User :   ok that is good i think i am goin to make an appointment with a different ob is it ok for me to ask for all of these thing fromn the doctor
Doctor :
and also some more hormonal tests to see hormone changes that usually occur due to endometriosis
Doctor :
yes it is fine
User :   ok
User :   ok thank you very much
Doctor :
